2015 Title I Parent/Family Involvement Survey

Each year, Miami-Dade County Public Schools conducts a Title I Parent/Family Involvement Survey designed to provide the District with information on how well your child’s school is doing in supporting your involvement in your child’s education. The 2015 M-DCPS Title I Parent/Family Involvement Survey will be available online from May 11, 2015, to June 26, 2015. This Survey is open to all parents of children attending schools implementing the Title I Schoolwide Program. The online Survey is available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. Survey responses will be anonymous. Paper Surveys are available at your child’s school upon request. ESPAÑOL: La Administración de Título I de las Escuelas Públicas del Condado Miami-Dade (M-DCPS) realiza todos los años una encuesta sobre la participación de padres y familia (2015 M-DCPS Title I Parent/Family Involvement Survey). Esta encuesta tiene por objetivo proporcionar al distrito información acerca de que tan bien la escuela de su hijo le brinda apoyo para que usted participe en la educación de su hijo. La encuesta sobre la participación de padres y familia de Título I estará disponible por la Internet desde el 11 de mayo hasta el 26 de junio del 2015. Esta encuesta está abierta a todos los padres de niños que asisten a escuelas que implementan el Programa de Título I. La encuesta por Internet está disponible en inglés, español y haitiano criollo. Sus respuestas son anónimas. También puede llenar la encuesta en el formulario de papel que puede solicitar en la escuela de su hijo. Parents & Community Members: WE NEED YOU!

Parents, DBFE is in search of interested individuals to join our schools Educational Excellence School Advisory Council (EESAC). By joining, you have an opportunity to take an active role in the decision-making process at Dante B. Fascell Elementary School. The time required to be a part of the EESAC committee is very minimal.  We are looking for parents and community members to participate and make a difference in our school.

EESAC elections will take place Tuesday, September 16 at 5:30 pm, during the Annual Title I Meeting before Open House. If you are interested in finding out more about becoming an EESAC member, please call (305) 380-1901.

Meet & Greet – Friday, Aug 15

 

Join us this Friday, August 15th at 2 pm for an opening of school Meet & Greet. Visit your child’s teacher and explore his/her classroom before the start of the school year.

PTA will also be hosting a membership drive on this date. Join for just $6 per person. All monies collected directly benefit the boys and girls of DBFE! Those who join will be entered into a drawing to win a $25 gift card. We hope to see you there! 🙂

Summertime Resource: Achieve3000

Elementary school classroomMiami-Dade County Public School students can access Achieve3000® all summer long!

Achieve3000 is partnering with Miami-Dade County Public Schools to provide access to their online literacy solutions—KidBiz3000®, TeenBiz3000®, and Empower3000TM—this summer.

As a leader in differentiated instruction, Achieve3000 offers Miami-Dade students access to a proven literacy program that reaches all students one-on-one at their individual reading levels to:

  • Accelerate reading gains
  • Boost mastery of Florida Standards
  • Improve performance on high-stakes tests
  • Prepare them for college and career

Achieve3000’s online solutions will be accessible from June 16 to August 16, 2014.

The information will also be available in the student and parent portals.

White Hot Heat Day – Thursday, May 22nd

  •  The Miami HEAT has advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals.
  • All students are encouraged to wear WHITE in support of the Miami HEAT bringing home yet another NBA Championship.
  • url-12Students are required to wear uniform bottoms, but are asked to wear white TOPS to show their support. 
  • The Miami HEAT also encourages you to post your photos that day to Instagram using the hashtag #WHITEHOTHEATSTYLE where they will be upload to the HEAT website: www.whitehotheat.com.
