New Dismissal Procedures

We are implementing changes to the dismissal process for the 2014-2015 school year. Please use the photo below to familiarize yourself with this new system. Expect to receive a hardcopy version on Monday afternoon, as it will be sent home with your child. The map is also available on our school website, under the “Parents” tab.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during the first few weeks, as the entire DBFE community adjusts to this new routine; it is greatly appreciated!

2014-2015 School Supply List – Available Online

Hoping to beat the crowds during back-to-school shopping this summer? Then don’t delay; visit our school website today for supply lists for the 2014-2015 school year!

Accessing the Supply Lists on the DBFE Website:

• Visit dbfe.dadeschools.net.
• Hover over the blue Parent tab in the navigation menu.
• Wait for the drop-down menu to appear.

White Hot Heat Day – Thursday, May 22nd

•  The Miami HEAT has advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals.
• All students are encouraged to wear WHITE in support of the Miami HEAT bringing home yet another NBA Championship.
• Students are required to wear uniform bottoms, but are asked to wear white TOPS to show their support. 
• The Miami HEAT also encourages you to post your photos that day to Instagram using the hashtag #WHITEHOTHEATSTYLE where they will be upload to the HEAT website: www.whitehotheat.com.

 

The Art of Summer at FIU

• Registration for the Art of Summer at FIU is open.
• The camp will take place June 16 to August 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.,  for children ages 6-14. Early drop-off is available at 7:30 a.m. and late pick-up is available until 6 p.m.
• The eight-week camp is $150/week (total of $1,200) and four-week camp is $175/week (total of $700). Full payment is due upon registration.
• The camp cost includes lunch, snacks, and weekly field trips. Select two “Arts” led by FIU instructors. Pick any two of these activities: art, dance, music or sports.
• Registrations received after May 30, 2014, will incur a $50 late fee.
• Late fees apply for pick-ups after 6 p.m.
