Donate for a Cause: Pink Lids and Tabs

Assist DBFE students and teachers in collecting tabs and Yoplait Pink Lids for two great causes! Students are asked to bring in (cleaned) pink lids from Yoplait yogurt, and turn them into their classroom teachers. Lids will be turned in by Mrs. Alvarez during Winter Recess. Please have them in by Thursday, December 19^th.

Should you have any tabs from drink cans, pet cans, or any other can that has a tab, please turn these in as well. Mrs. Alvarez will be dropping off DBFE’s first batch during the Winter Recess. Continue to collect the tabs throughout the year. The second drop off will be in April.

TAB-A-THON Contest:

“Participate in the Tab-a-thon and help the Ronald McDonald Houses of South Florida.

Collecting aluminum tabs is a fun and easy way to recycle and more importantly make a difference in the lives of children and families. Since the start of the Tab-A-Thon program in 2005, almost $30,000 has been raised on this program and continue to raise funds for our Houses. This is over 40 million pop-tabs that have been collected and recycled! Our goal is to continue to collect the pop-tabs in 2014 to benefit the environment and continue to raise funds to our Houses.”
